Your privacy matters deeply to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use the CalmSpace iOS app.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Journal Content
CalmSpace is designed as a mindful journaling space. When you complete a session, your current session's notes are saved to an archive stored locally on your device. This archive never leaves your phone — it is not transmitted to our servers, synced to the cloud, or shared with any third party. You are in full control of your archive. You can view, manage, and permanently delete your saved entries at any time from within the app.
1.2 Payment Information
CalmSpace uses a "pay what feels good" model — you choose how much, if anything, you'd like to contribute. All payment transactions are processed securely through Apple's in-app purchase system (StoreKit). We do not directly collect, store, or have access to your payment card details. Apple handles all billing in accordance with their own Privacy Policy. We may receive limited, non-identifiable transaction metadata from Apple (e.g., confirmation that a payment was made), solely for the purpose of processing your contribution.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
We want to be clear about what we do not do:• We do not transmit or store your journal entries on external servers• We do not create user accounts or require sign-in• We do not collect your name, email address, or contact information• We do not access your location• We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs• We do not share your data with third parties• We do not track your behavior across other apps or websites
3. How We Use Information
The limited transaction metadata we receive from Apple is used solely to:• Confirm and process voluntary payments• Provide basic app functionality and support. We do not use this information for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your journal entries are saved in an archive stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your phone — we do not have access to it, and it is not stored on our servers or synced to any cloud service. You can delete your archive or individual entries at any time directly within the app. Any minimal technical data associated with payment confirmation is handled by Apple's secure infrastructure and subject to Apple's data protection standards.
5. Children's Privacy
CalmSpace is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it promptly.
6. Third-Party Services
CalmSpace integrates with Apple's App Store and StoreKit for payment processing. These services operate under Apple's own Privacy Policy, which can be found at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/. We encourage you to review their policies. We have no other third-party integrations, analytics services, or advertising networks in the app.
7. Your Rights
Because we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is very little data for us to provide, correct, or delete. However, you always have the right to:• Delete your journal archive or individual entries at any time within the app• Contact us with any privacy concerns or questions• Request information about what data (if any) we hold about you• Manage your payment and billing preferences directly through your Apple ID settings
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of CalmSpace after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
